This course is designed to provide students with basic scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies necessary to equip them with knowledge and understanding of interrelationships of the natural world; skills to identify and analyze environmental issues both natural and human-made; capability to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and examine alternative solutions for resolving or preventing them. Emphasis is also placed on their role /contributions to society and their responsibilities to the environment incorporating environmental ethics.
The course also introduces videos and documentary films to the students followed by their reaction to such. The students are encouraged to use recycled materials for their output.
